Jennie Performed Her ‘Dracula’ Remix at Mad Cool and Bit Right Into That Festival Stage
Jennie brought her Tame Impala ‘Dracula’ remix to Mad Cool 2026 on July 9. the setlist was stacked and the girlies were feasting.
jennie took her Tame Impala 'Dracula' remix to Mad Cool in madrid on july 9 and treated a european festival crowd like her personal living room. vampire branding, main-character lighting, zero hesitation. the girlies were feasting.
the setlist ran seventeen songs deep and it was stacked: 'Filter,' 'Mantra,' 'Start A War,' 'Seoul City,' 'F.T.S.,' 'Lock It Down,' 'ExtraL,' 'Starlight' and 'Like Jennie,' plus solo takes on 'Damn Right,' 'Handlebars' and 'Love Hangover.' she also covered The Weeknd's 'One Of The Girls,' because sure, why not, it was a thursday.
she snuck in two unreleased tracks too — 'Heaven' and 'Little Less' — which is a genuinely evil thing to do to a crowd that cannot go stream them afterward. play the songs we can't have! love that for us!
"It feels so, so good to be here with you guys," she told madrid, and the feeling was extremely mutual and then some.
for context on the room she was standing in: day two of the festival also had Lorde and Florence + The Machine on it, plus CMAT and Chloe Slater. solo jennie holding her own on that bill is the entire story. she came for necks and top billing and left with both. 🧛♀️

the Recording Academy rolled out a shiny new 'Best Asian Pop Music Performance' category and BTS looked at it like… so we're the kids' table now? all seven are sitting the 69th Grammys out.
no bc the audacity. the Recording Academy dropped five new categories for the 69th Grammys — one of them Best Asian Pop Music Performance — and instead of clapping, BTS just quietly declined to submit anything at all. iconic move, honestly.
the reasoning is the un-delulu part. the boys basically said music should be heard for what it is, not sorted by region or language: "We hope that music will be heard and loved for what it is." a category that sounds inclusive but functionally boxes Asian artists out of the General Field (read: Album of the Year, the awards that actually matter)? no thank you.
critics have been screaming the same thing — a dedicated Asian pop award reads less like a seat at the table and more like a separate table in a different room. the biggest group to ever do it opting out is the loudest possible way to say the quiet part out loud.
the 69th Grammys go down February 7, 2027, and BTS will simply… not be in the running, by choice. ARMY got a thank-you, the Academy got a message, and the group keeps its whole principle intact. mother is mothering and making a point.
