jennie dropped 'less than a lover' and bodied every soloist of 2026 in ONE day

no bc she woke up, released a single, and immediately went no. 1 on itunes in 27 countries like it was nothing. the girlies never stood a chance and honestly neither did i.

not to be dramatic at 9am but jennie really said 'watch this' and released 'less than a lover' on july 24 and the charts have not recovered since. mother is once again mothering and i am once again unwell.

within a day the single was sitting at no. 1 on itunes' top songs in more than 27 regions — philippines, indonesia, brazil, you name it. that's the most countries any k-pop soloist has topped with a single song all of 2026. ate. left zero crumbs. swept the floor with the crumbs.

and she didn't stop at itunes — the mv shot to no. 1 on youtube's worldwide trending music list AND grabbed the top trending spot in both korea and the u.s. over in china she casually locked no. 1 on qq music, netease cloud, and kugou, then landed at no. 2 on melon's hot 100 for good measure.

her label OA Entertainment put it plainly, calling it "the highest number of regions topped by any K-pop solo song" released in 2026. bestie. the way they said that with their whole chest.

anyway solo jennie remains undefeated and the rest of us remain on the floor. we are so back.

RIIZE Rose All the Way to No. 1 on Oricon and the Pun Writes Itself

the group’s second EP ‘II’ hit the top of Oricon’s Weekly Album Ranking. rookies no more — these boys are charting like veterans.

RIIZE named the EP 'II' and then rose to no. 1, and we refuse to be mature about it. the second EP took the top of oricon's weekly album ranking, which is not a small room to be the loudest voice in.

the good part is HOW. 'II' entered that chart at no. 31 after its june release and then climbed for four straight weeks until it hit the top. that's not a launch-week spike, that's japan falling in love slowly and in public.

the rest of the receipts: over a million copies moved in four days, making it their fourth million-seller, no. 1 on itunes' top albums chart in six regions, and a platinum certification from QQ Music in china. six members, zero filler.

they'd already pulled an oricon no. 1 with 'RIIZING' back in 2024, so at this point it's a pattern and not a fluke. and they did this one while running the 'RIIZE Playing Game' fan meetups through fukuoka, tokyo and kobe, because rest was never on the itinerary.

BRIIZE, go scream. responsibly, but loudly.
