Jennie’s ‘Dracula’ Just Topped Pop Radio and Landed Her First Hot 100 Top 10

the tame impala duet hit No. 1 on billboard's pop airplay chart dated july 11 — a career first for BOTH of them. it also peaked at No. 10 on the hot 100. mother does not miss.

a moody psych-pop song about a vampire is now the No. 1 record on american pop radio. 'Dracula' tops billboard's pop airplay chart dated july 11, and it's the first time either tame impala OR jennie has led that format. not a small chart. not a k-pop-adjacent asterisk. pop radio, front door, no side entrance.

the trajectory here is unhinged. tame impala put out the solo version last october, the duet with jennie arrived in early february, and it has spent the months since quietly eating: a No. 10 peak on the hot 100 dated july 4 — a first top 10 for both artists — plus a 25th week at No. 1 on hot dance/electronic songs and a seventh on hot rock & alternative songs. it is charting in genres that don't normally speak to each other.

and here's the stat that's going to do numbers in the group chat: jennie is the SECOND blackpink member to hit No. 1 on pop airplay as a soloist, after rosé's 'APT.' with bruno mars spent five weeks up there in 2025. that puts blackpink in a club with destiny's child, fifth harmony and one direction — groups where multiple members have each ruled that chart alone.

the crossover is rarer than it looks, too. 'Dracula,' out on columbia, is only the second pop airplay No. 1 this year that had previously topped alternative airplay. across the chart's whole history since 1992, roughly 7% have pulled off both. this song is not supposed to work in two formats. it did anyway.

the soloist era stopped being a side quest a while ago, bestie. this is a takeover with a chart position attached.

RIIZE Rose All the Way to No. 1 on Oricon and the Pun Writes Itself

the group’s second EP ‘II’ hit the top of Oricon’s Weekly Album Ranking. rookies no more — these boys are charting like veterans.

RIIZE named the EP 'II' and then rose to no. 1, and we refuse to be mature about it. the second EP took the top of oricon's weekly album ranking, which is not a small room to be the loudest voice in.

the good part is HOW. 'II' entered that chart at no. 31 after its june release and then climbed for four straight weeks until it hit the top. that's not a launch-week spike, that's japan falling in love slowly and in public.

the rest of the receipts: over a million copies moved in four days, making it their fourth million-seller, no. 1 on itunes' top albums chart in six regions, and a platinum certification from QQ Music in china. six members, zero filler.

they'd already pulled an oricon no. 1 with 'RIIZING' back in 2024, so at this point it's a pattern and not a fluke. and they did this one while running the 'RIIZE Playing Game' fan meetups through fukuoka, tokyo and kobe, because rest was never on the itinerary.

BRIIZE, go scream. responsibly, but loudly.
