txt made a VR concert where you ride a dream train and singapore gets it first, the rest of us cope
the boys strapped us into headsets for 'endless ride' — a first-person vr concert that's basically a fever dream on rails. it's their THIRD one, making them the reigning kings of a format nobody else committed to.
txt really looked at the concept of 'attending a concert' and said what if it was a dream, on a train, strapped to your face. 'endless ride' is a vr concert experience and i've never wanted a headset more in my life.
instead of watching a concert film from your seat like a peasant, everyone gets their own vr headset for a first-person view — the whole thing is built as a train journey drifting through dreamlike landscapes, with performances and little interactive moments made specifically for vr. it's giving lucid dream, it's giving main character, it's giving 'why is this a train and why do i care so much.'
and here's the part that's actually iconic: this is their THIRD dedicated vr concert. as in, txt is the first k-pop act to put out three of these. everyone else made one and clocked out; the boys built a whole cinematic universe in headset form. commitment to the bit is a love language.
the catch: it's a singapore exclusive at gv bugis+, running august 14 through september 3, with tickets going up july 24 (about $38–40). there are even weekly collectibles — photocards, postcards, the little treasures — so of course people will be going multiple times. for research.
anyway if you're in singapore, congrats, you get to ride the dream train. if you're not, we suffer in standard definition together. hold my hand.
