txt swept the KMAs with FIVE awards and a whole daesang and moa are simply not recovering
the km chart awards went down saturday night and our roster cleaned house — txt took artist of the year, bts won album of the year for 'ARIRANG,' and hwasa snatched song of the year. a certified massacre.
the km chart awards (KMA) 2026 happened saturday night at korea university's hwajeong tiger dome in seoul, and bestie… our roster did NOT come to lose. it was a bloodbath and i mean that in the most celebratory way possible.
txt walked out with FIVE trophies including the daesang — the grand prize — for artist of the year. two of those (best popular song and best popular male group) were decided entirely by fan voting, so moa really said 'we do it for the plot.' yeonjun also grabbed best popular solo male, because this family simply does not miss.
the other daesangs kept the roster supremacy going: bts took album of the year for 'ARIRANG,' and mamamoo's hwasa snatched song of the year with 'good goodbye.' the range across our girls and boys is genuinely unhinged.
the ultimate 12 (aka the bonsang main prizes) included bts, hwasa, txt, zerobaseone and riize — a stacked, stacked list — while hearts2hearts took best female group AND made the cut. aespa's winter also walked off with best popular solo female, because of course she did.
shoutout to the non-roster winners too — cortis snagged record of the year with 'GREENGREEN,' respect — but today belongs to the faves. between the daesangs, the fan-voted wins and the bonsangs, the group chat is unrecoverable. we are so back and we are so winning.

the Recording Academy invited TWICE, Stray Kids, and JYP’s Park Jin Young to join as voting members. the girlies and the boys officially have a say now.
the Recording Academy sent out its invitations and JYP walked away with eighteen of them. eighteen. artists and executives, one label, one round. it's the group project everyone actually wanted to get picked for.
the names that matter: all nine of TWICE, all eight of Stray Kids, and Park Jin Young himself, all invited as VOTING members — meaning an actual ballot in who takes home a grammy. the label's CEO Jeong Wook and CSO Shin Hyun Kook came in as professional members, which is the category for the executive side of the house.
for scale, the academy extended more than 4,000 invitations in this round, so nobody's pretending this was a personal coronation. what it IS: a bloc of K-pop's biggest working acts now sitting inside the body that decides the outcome. that's structural, bestie. that hits different than a nomination.
to be extremely clear before the timeline spirals — this is a vote, not a trophy. nobody won anything today. they were handed a say in who does.
the culture spent a decade knocking politely on the door of an institution that's been running since 1957. this year it got keys. slow-burn takeover, fully in progress, no notes.
