After 11 years at JYP, the TWICE member signed with a new agency to act, but says the group stays her first priority.

here's the actual tea: Jeongyeon signed with Varo Entertainment — the same agency that reps her older sister, actor Gong Seung-yeon — to seriously pursue acting while staying fully in TWICE. it's a two-jobs-one-icon situation and we support a multi-hyphenate queen.

she got sentimental about it too, admitting she was scared to leave somewhere so familiar but found the courage thanks to her members and Once. "standing before Once as a member of TWICE will always be my first priority," she said. no because who's cutting onions.

so this is not the disbandment fever dream your FYP tried to sell you — it's a glow-up. mother is expanding the empire into acting while keeping the group in the same breath. Jeongyeon the actress era, loading. we are seated and supportive.

The TWICE x JYP Contract Drama Just Escalated and the Rumor Mill Is in Shambles

after the Tzuyu reports, Jihyo, Chaeyoung, and Jeongyeon are now reportedly weighing their options at JYP too. nothing’s confirmed — but the speculation is spiraling.

okay everybody put the tribute montage down and read the ACTUAL reporting, because the vibes online have massively outrun the facts here. nothing below is confirmed. i'm going to keep saying that until it sinks in.

what korean outlets reported on july 14, specifically: JoyNews24 said jihyo may be looking at setting up a one-person agency for SOLO work — and that she'd stay with TWICE for group activities either way. Nate News said chaeyoung has taken meetings elsewhere, possibly to split a group contract from a solo one. Naver Entertainment said jeongyeon has been meeting agencies, and Varo Entertainment acknowledged a meeting while stating "nothing has been finalized regarding any contract."

none of that is a departure, bestie. a meeting is a meeting. a separate solo agency is a filing cabinet, not a breakup — plenty of idols run group promos under one roof and solo work under another and the sky stays firmly where it is.

the wave started with an unconfirmed july 13 report about tzuyu, and from there the timeline did what the timeline does: extrapolated an entire future from three reports and a feeling. some of the names getting pulled into this have no reporting behind them at all — only comment sections.

JYPE's line has not moved: renewal discussions are ongoing, company and members are talking it through, and they'll announce something when there's something to announce. that is genuinely the whole confirmed record.

so — ONCEs, breathe. rumors are not receipts, meetings are not resignations, and nobody has to feel anything specific until someone actually signs something. we wait.

g-dragon reportedly clocked a cameraman about to fall off a stage and saved him mid-performance

a since-viral account from the concert says GD spotted the danger and stepped in — main-character reflexes, allegedly confirmed

this is the kind of story that makes you go 'not the man being effortlessly heroic AGAIN.' during bigbang's 20th-anniversary run, g-dragon allegedly noticed a camera director backing toward the edge of the roughly two-meter-high stage — and stepped in before it went south.

the facts, with a caveat: the account comes from a post attributed to the director's wife plus fan-shot video circulating on X, so treat the finer details as unconfirmed. per that telling, GD alerted the director and positioned himself to keep the guy from going over the edge while, somehow, still performing.

if you've ever tried to do two things at once and failed at both, imagine running your anniversary setlist AND a live spatial-awareness rescue op simultaneously. the multitasking? unmatched.

no agency has formally confirmed it, but the clip did numbers and the internet has collectively decided gd is a gentleman. we're inclined to agree.
