BTS Told The Grammys 'No Thanks' and Bestie, They Have a Point

the Recording Academy rolled out a shiny new 'Best Asian Pop Music Performance' category and BTS looked at it like… so we're the kids' table now? all seven are sitting the 69th Grammys out.

no bc the audacity. the Recording Academy dropped five new categories for the 69th Grammys — one of them Best Asian Pop Music Performance — and instead of clapping, BTS just quietly declined to submit anything at all. iconic move, honestly.

the reasoning is the un-delulu part. the boys basically said music should be heard for what it is, not sorted by region or language: "We hope that music will be heard and loved for what it is." a category that sounds inclusive but functionally boxes Asian artists out of the General Field (read: Album of the Year, the awards that actually matter)? no thank you.

critics have been screaming the same thing — a dedicated Asian pop award reads less like a seat at the table and more like a separate table in a different room. the biggest group to ever do it opting out is the loudest possible way to say the quiet part out loud.

the 69th Grammys go down February 7, 2027, and BTS will simply… not be in the running, by choice. ARMY got a thank-you, the Academy got a message, and the group keeps its whole principle intact. mother is mothering and making a point.

Jennie Is Vaseline's Global Ambassador Now, So We're Officially Gatekeeping Our Body Lotion

BLACKPINK's Jennie turned a drugstore staple into the most coveted thing in your cart — glow-up incoming.

Not Jennie waking up and deciding to make PETROLEUM JELLY aspirational. BLACKPINK's Jennie has officially signed on as Vaseline's global ambassador, fronting the brand's body-care campaign — and let's be honest, the girl could sell us a jar of literally anything and we'd Venmo her on sight.

It's the range for us. Chanel one week, a mass-market moisturizer the next, and somehow both read as luxury because SHE'S the one wearing them. The campaign leans all the way into the 'healthy, cared-for skin is the flex' era, which — fine, we'll take the hint and actually moisturize for once in our lives.

Fans clocked it in seconds and the timeline turned into one big group chat about restocking their entire bathroom. A global soloist landing a household beauty deal this big is its own kind of power move, and Jennie making Vaseline trend is exactly the plot twist 2026 didn't know it needed. Anyway, brb — buying lotion.
