SEVENTEEN's Seungkwan and Dino to Enlist Together in October; Mingyu Begins Service in September
The three members will complete their scheduled group activities before stepping away for their military duties.
SEVENTEEN members Seungkwan and Dino will begin their mandatory military service together on Oct. 26, joining the South Korean Army's military band, their agency Pledis Entertainment announced on the fan platform Weverse. Fellow member Mingyu will start his alternative service earlier, on Sept. 10.
Pledis asked fans not to gather at the boot camp on the day of the enlistment, noting the venue will be crowded with other recruits and their families, and said there would be no official send-off events. The agency also asked fans not to visit Mingyu's workplace during his alternative service.
All three members are expected to complete their scheduled activities with the group before beginning their service.
With these enlistments, nearly all of SEVENTEEN's members will have fulfilled or be fulfilling their military obligations. The exceptions are S.Coups, who was exempted, Chinese members The8 and Jun, and Joshua, a U.S. national.
CARATs are already counting down to their return. Wishing Seungkwan, Dino and Mingyu a safe and healthy service.
